Description: Bill Partridge, founder and executive director of Azleway, Inc., started with one boy and one house. "We opened the doors on the first cottage April 9, 1979, and the first boy came," Partridge said. "The first two years were really a struggle, but the number of kids grew tremendously." During his career, Partridge has served thousands of at-risk children in Texas and now leads 260 employees who serve more than 1,000 foster children each year with an approach that includes holistic, healing services. His retirement was honored with a Great Homecoming retirement party Nov. 13, 2009 at the Azleway Boys' Ranch Training Center.
