JT HS 2008 Graduation

Description: The John Tyler High School graduation was held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 6 p.m. at the Oil Palace in Tyler, Texas. Valedictorian Jeffrey Scott Davis, son of Frank and Nancy Davis, plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in chemistry. Davis is a National Merit Commended Scholar and a graduate of the International Baccalaureate program. He was in one-act play casts and received a best actor award. In band, he was the assistant drum major and as a French Horn player he was All Region and a first division soloist. He also received honors as pianist from the American College of Musicians. Davis also competed on the tennis team. A student body leader, he was a class officer, Senior Class president and on the Student Leadership Team. Other accolades include National Honor Society, Rotary Club Outstanding Senior, Rose City Kiwanis Club Outstanding Sophomore, Boy Scout Eagle Scout and Whoâ€™s Who Among American High School Scholars. Salutatorian Angela Camille Frost, daughter of Vernita Frost and Rodney Frost, plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin and major in finance and sports management.
