REL HS 2008 Graduation

Description: The Robert E. Lee High School graduation was held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Oil Palace in Tyler, Texas. Valedictorian Sara Michelle Whitmer, daughter of Don and Lecia Whitmer, plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in petroleum engineering. At Lee, she was a leader in the classroom and soccer field. Her achievements include being named a Top Ten Student Scholar, National Honor Society member, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society member, Rotary Youth Leadership delegate, Student Senate member and Blood Drive chairman. Her athletic achievements include being chosen for The David Smoak Scholastic All Stars Team, All District Player, second team All District, Academic All District, and Academic All State. Salutatorian Dustin Earl Dudley, son of Debra Dudley, plans to attend Baylor University next year with plans to attend medical school in the future. He has excelled in the classroom, in the band hall, on the stage, and at the hospital. Dustinâ€™s academic achievements include being named a Top Ten Student Scholar, National Honor Society member and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society member. Knowing that he wanted to pursue a career in medicine, he became immersed in the Heath Science Technology program at Robert E. Lee and was an active member and leader of HOSA, Heath Occupations Students of America.
