02-20-09 Vietnam Veterans of America State Meeting

Description: The Vietnam Veterans of America held its Texas Winter State Meeting in Tyler, for the first time, on 02-20-09 through 02-22-09. Delegates from all over Texas attended the event, held at the Holiday Inn Select on South Broadway in Tyler. The event included a banquet, meetings to cover state VVA business, as well as several speakers including Mayor Barbara Bass of Tyler. Chapters across the state contributed to Project Amigo, this year benefitting Tyler's Greater Purpose Youth Center which serves children left behind by incarcerated parents.
