Description: The East Texas Symphony Orchestra paid tribute to both the United States and one of its greatest presidents, Abraham Lincoln, during the symphony's inaugural performance of the 2009-2010 season on Sept. 26, 2009 in the University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine & Performing Arts Center. With pieces by Charles Ives, Aaron Copland and Antonin Dvorak, ETSO executive director Nancy Wrenn said it was her desire that this concert would provide a reminder of what makes the United States such a unique nation.
