Bio: Promotion Manager - Circulation Shane grew up in Alton, IL. After high school & service in the Marines, he graduated from the University of Houston, (B.A. Journalism). He was a television and radio reporter and talk show host and producer in Houston, TX; he's traveled in the Middle East, Europe and Asia, reporting from Lebanon and NATO countries during the Iran hostage crises. He has worked for the Houston Post, San Antonio Light, Alameda Newspaper Group, Springfield News-Leader & Columbia Daily Tribune newspapers & acts and writes. Shane was a delegate to the 2005 White House Conference on Aging, and is deeply committed to finding solutions to the issues facing current and coming generations of working families and senior citizens of Texas. He is on the Executive Board of the Alliance for Retired Americans & Vice-President of its Texas chapter. He and his wife, Sandra, live north of Tyler with children in Houston, TX & Columbia, MO and a grandson in Houston.
